What makes a good movie so gosh darn gripping? Character development? A rockin’ soundtrack? Or maybe it’s just Ryan Gosling’s abs, blown up to full-screen size. Whatever it may be, I plan to dissect hit movies for their most captivating elements and help YOU apply them to your digital storytelling, because with today’s technology that’s just what your story needs- cinema status oomph. Just because it’s news doesn’t mean it has to be black and white. This blog explores how to make your story full color and high definition.

Kelly Andersen is a multimedia journalism student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. A D.C. native, she graduated high school as associate editor of her school paper, had completed her first apprenticeship at Sirens Media, and received an honorable mention in the Columbia Scholastic Press’ Gold Circle competition. In her time at ASU, she has interned as a production coordinator for “Horizon,” a PBS news production featured on Channel 8, and is currently a contributing editor intern at Arizona Foothills Magazine. Upon completing her degree, Andersen hopes to relocate to New York City and work in the television industry.
